The Philosophy Behind Framehouse Hub
Why we built a DAM that feels like a gallery, not a filing cabinet — and why that distinction matters for creative work.
Software as a showcase
Most digital asset management tools are built for IT departments. They prioritise compliance, auditability, and storage cost over the experience of the person actually using them. We built Framehouse Hub for the other person in the room — the creative.
The museum principle
A well-curated museum does not show you everything at once. It guides your attention, provides context, and frames each piece deliberately. That is the standard we hold our interface to. Your assets deserve to be presented, not just stored.
What this means practically
It means the library view uses white space deliberately. It means thumbnails are large enough to evaluate composition. It means metadata is present but never dominant. And it means that publishing a portfolio feels like opening a gallery — not sharing a Dropbox link.
