Smart Collections: Dynamic Asset Filters
Smart Collections automatically populate based on rules you define — filter by media type, shoot name, status, or any metadata field.
What makes a collection "Smart"?
Unlike a manual folder, a Smart Collection runs a saved query against your Library every time you open it. Any asset matching the filter appears automatically — no manual sorting required. They update in real time as you add new assets.
Create a Smart Collection
Navigate to Smart Collections in the sidebar and click "New Collection". Give it a name and set your filter — for example, filter by mediaType = "video" to create an "All Videos" collection, or by ingestionStatus = "ready" for a "Ready to Publish" collection.
System-generated collections
When you upload your first assets, Framehouse Hub automatically creates a set of Smart Collections for you — including "All Images" and one for each detected shoot name. These system collections cannot be deleted, but you can create as many custom ones as you need.
